How to claim an unclaimed game server listing on ServerRoam

ServerRoam adds some publicly advertised servers before their operators join. These entries are marked “Unclaimed”. If you run one of them, you can take it over for free.

What “unclaimed” means

A moderator added the listing from public information and a source page, such as the server’s own website. The operator has not confirmed anything, so details may be out of date.

  • The listing is labelled “Unclaimed” and links to its source.
  • It shows no player counts, votes or reviews until the owner verifies it.
  • It is neither an endorsement nor a statement by the operator.

How claiming works

Open the listing and choose “Is this your server? Claim it”. Then:

  • Sign in and choose the organization that should own the listing, one you own or administer, or create a new one.
  • Explain how a moderator can confirm that you run the server. You then receive a claim code.
  • Put the code somewhere public that only the owner controls: the server name, the server description or a Discord announcement.
  • An independent moderator reviews the claim. There is no fixed deadline.
  • If the claim is accepted, the listing becomes a private draft in your dashboard.

What the claim code is

The code looks like sr-xxxxxxxx. It is public, not a secret, and proves nothing by itself.

It only lets the moderator see that the person claiming the listing can change something that only the owner controls. Never put passwords, tokens or private documents into your statement, and take the code down once the claim is decided.

What happens after acceptance

Accepting a claim moves the listing into your organization as a draft. It leaves the public catalogue until you finish the normal publishing steps.

Those steps are the same for every owner: review the draft, prove that you control the listed address and submit the listing for independent review. Verification shows control of the address. It is not a quality rating.

Corrections and removal

If details are wrong, claim the listing and correct them. If you would rather not be listed, submit a claim and say so, or report the listing from its page. ServerRoam removes an unclaimed listing on a justified request.

Limits to know

  • You can have one open claim per listing and at most five open claims per account.
  • ServerRoam promises no review time, traffic or player numbers.
  • Decided claims are deleted after 90 days. An accepted transfer stays documented in the moderation audit.
